One of the best horror movies of the year has quietly been added to Netflix, just in time to terrify us all over again.
Heart Eyes was released in February, perfect for a Valentine’s Day cinema date.
Scream’s Mason Gooding and Olivia Holt led the star-studded cast alongside Final Destination icon Devon Sawa and Jordana Brewster, while Josh Ruben served as director.
The slasher followed singleton Ally (Olivia) as she is forced fix an ill-timed marketing campaign, with the help of freelancer Jay (Mason).
Unfortunately, the mysterious Heart Eyes Killer mistakes them for a couple and sets about trying to bring their ‘romance’ to a brutal, untimely end.
For those of you who didn’t manage to see it in cinemas, there is good news as the flick is now on Netflix.

Heart Eyes earned rave reviews when it premiered, and currently commands a critics score of 81% on Rotten Tomatoes, compared to an audience rating of 77%.
User Horror Fan 4 raved: ‘This was funny and terrifyingly good at the same time. The kills were fantastic and the big reveal at the end a little predictable but still a great addition to the Valentine’s Day collection.’
‘I really enjoyed this movie, Tamara W wrote. ‘It was a nice take on a horror-comedy storyline. The acting was good and the plot twist was unexpected. Definitely recommend for a classic Valentine slasher film!
‘Heart Eyes was a blast. They blended horror and humor quite well, which brings back what we used to love about slasher films in the past,’ Joey R agreed.

‘The excitement of the horror of this one is a good birth of a new horror icon.’
As Kenna S added: ‘This movie was amazing! It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! I did not expect the twist in the end!
‘This may become the next Scream, can’t wait to see if there will be another one!!!’

The film’s official synopsis reads: ‘For the past several years, the Heart Eyes Killer has wreaked havoc on Valentine’s Day by stalking and murdering romantic couples. This Valentine’s Day, no couple is safe…’
Mason, who earned his horror stripes in the Scream franchise, previously touched on the future of Heart Eyes, and whether we could see the killer strike again.
He told Entertainment Weekly: ‘I hope so. That’s the goal.
‘That’d be fun. [Would] love to do it again. Any opportunity to work with Olivia is one I’m going to take 10 times out of 10. Josh, as well.’
Heart Eyes is now on Netflix.
