Here We Go Again.&quot; (Jonathan Prime\/Universal Pictures via AP)\" loading=\"lazy\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.isshicare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/SEI_44227126-f7a7.jpg\">\t<\/div><figcaption>Christine Baranski shed light on the Mamma Mia shoot (Picture: Universal)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Christine Baranski has lifted the lid on the Mamma Mia franchise, revealing one of her A-list co-stars \u2018hated\u2019 the shoot.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/01\/01\/netflix-fans-threaten-contact-police-spotting-00s-classic-leaving-soon-22279512\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The first Mamma Mia film hit the big screen in 2008<\/a>, and was an adaptation of the iconic stage show, directed by Phyllida Lloyd.<\/p>\n<p>It commanded a huge cast, including Meryl Streep, <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/pierce-brosnan\/\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\">Pierce Brosnan<\/a>, Colin Firth, Amanda Seyfried, Dame <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/julie-walters\/\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\">Julie Walters<\/a>, Stellan Skarsg\u00e5rd and many more.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2022\/05\/07\/amanda-seyfried-has-perfect-response-to-the-possibility-of-mamma-mia-3-16602996\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The flick followed bride-to-be Sophie (Amanda)<\/a> as she invited three of her mom Donna\u2019s (Meryl) former flings to her wedding in&nbsp;<a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/greece\/\">Greece<\/a>, in the hopes of finally discovering the identity of her father.<\/p>\n<p>During an appearance on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the Good Wife actress <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2023\/10\/24\/mamma-mia-3-confirmed-alan-carr-abba-19713152\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">shed light on her experience<\/a> and how the camera actually tried to avoid Stellan during the scene where the cast danced to Abba\u2019s Dancing Queen.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I don\u2019t think he\u2019ll mind my saying this but all three actors \u2013 Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsg\u00e5rd \u2013 they just hated having to do the dance stuff,\u2019 she told the host.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mamma Mia! This was James Bond. I think Colin Firth meant all of his moves ironically.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018But Stellan hated it. We finally went down the hill in Dancing Queen and landed on the dock, then it was the end of the number. You have got to do the moves now \u2013 you have simply got to do the moves!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2018He let out with a string of expletives. It\u2019s as though Ol had asked him to do Arabic poetry while jumping rope. He was like I can\u2019t do that!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2018He did it. It was so funny. I love Stellan, he\u2019s just the greatest. She gave me the narrative plotline of how it\u2019s going to happen. That\u2019s all I can say,\u2019 she told the Hollywood Reporter last year.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018But, it\u2019s not like, \u201cOh, I wish it could happen!\u201d Judy Craymer makes things happen. She made number two happen, and it was a phenomenal hit. I wouldn\u2019t put it past Judy Craymer to get everybody back together.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It\u2019s just the kind of movie that makes people happy,\u2019 she added.&nbsp;\u2018Mamma Mia&nbsp;made so many millions of people around the world happy.
