{"id":5517,"date":"2025-04-23T17:04:10","date_gmt":"2025-04-23T17:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.isshicare.com\/?p=5517"},"modified":"2025-04-24T18:20:21","modified_gmt":"2025-04-24T18:20:21","slug":"sony-is-bringing-back-classic-playstation-console-themes-for-ps5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.isshicare.com\/index.php\/2025\/04\/23\/sony-is-bringing-back-classic-playstation-console-themes-for-ps5\/","title":{"rendered":"Sony is bringing back classic PlayStation console themes for PS5"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item wp-caption\">\n<div class=\"img-wrap\">\n\t\t<img width=\"646\" height=\"363\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" class=\"article-image wp-image-22961367 lazyload\" alt=\"Original PlayStation theme on PS5\" loading=\"lazy\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.isshicare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/SEI_248549861-bcd8.jpg\">\t<\/div><figcaption>The themes are back (Sony Interactive Entertainment)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/playstation-5\/\">PS5<\/a> themes to celebrate PlayStation&#8217;s 30th anniversary will officially return this week, as <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/sony\/\">Sony<\/a> rolls out an update to improve audio.<\/p>\n<p>PlayStation&#8217;s 30th anniversary may have served as a <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/12\/02\/playstation-lost-edge-30-years-later-22100577\/\">reminder of Sony&#8217;s distant past<\/a>, but there was one celebration which delivered the right kind of nostalgia.<\/p>\n<p>In December, <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/12\/02\/sony-just-changed-ps5-start-up-screen-look-sound-like-a-ps1-22107015\/\">Sony rolled out an update<\/a> which added the original PlayStation&#8217;s bright white boot-up sequence to the PlayStation 5, along with some additional customisation where you could change the theme of the dashboard to past console generations.<\/p>\n<p>These additions were only intended for a limited time, but several months after they were stripped away, Sony is bringing the classic themes back, thanks to popular demand.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When do the classic PlayStation themes return on PS5?
