Tom Fletcher<\/a> went to A&E this week after his autoimmune condition<\/a> uveitis flared up out of nowhere. <\/p>\n

The McFly<\/a> singer, 39, suffers from the rare eye condition<\/a>, which if left untreated can lead to vision loss and blindness. <\/p>\n

Taking to Instagram<\/a>, Tom took a selfie of the flare up and explained how hewill have to take six weeks of eye drops. <\/p>\n

Showing his asymmetrical face with one eye squinted and downcast, the Strictly star said: ‘My autoimmune thing flared up out of nowhere last night.<\/p>\n

‘Woke up feeling (and looking) like I’d been smashed in the face! <\/p>\n

‘This is after it had calmed down and I could see again!’ <\/p>\n

Also commenting ‘uveitis sucks’, Tom said this was not the day he had planned. <\/p>\n

This isn’t the first time Tom has been rushed to hospital with the eye condition. <\/p>\n

In December 2022 Tom revealed he was going to be staying in ‘dark rooms’ with sunglasses on while taking 6 weeks of steroids after a flare up, as he finished off the post with: ‘Merry Christmas.’<\/p>\n
