\u2018does the fans proud\u2019 ahead of the release this <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/summer\/\">summer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The actress shot to fame playing the lead role of Miriam \u2018Midge\u2019 Maisel on <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/amazon-prime-video\/\">Amazon Prime Video<\/a>\u2019s <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/comedy\/\">comedy<\/a> drama <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2023\/04\/12\/marvelous-mrs-maisel-season-5-review-masterclass-in-wrapping-up-a-show-18600626\/\">Marvelous Mrs Maisel<\/a>, which aired for five seasons until 2023.<\/p>\n<p>In one of her next projects, the 34-year-old will be playing the iconic Lois Lane in <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/12\/19\/film-fans-floods-tears-trailer-james-gunns-perfect-superman-finally-drops-22221834\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">James Gunn\u2019s superhero flick<\/a>, starring opposite David Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult, Wendell Pierce and Alan Tudyk.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <strong>Metro <\/strong>while promoting her Taste Good. Feel Good. campaign with McCain, she opened up about <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2020\/03\/20\/amy-adams-rules-return-superman-universe-lois-lane-12429742\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">following in the footsteps of some incredible stars<\/a> who had the role before her, and what she is excited to bring to her version of the Daily Planet\u2019s best reporter.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Well, I feel like everybody who’s taken the mantle has brought a little bit of themselves to this iconic character, and so I was excited to take a swing at it,\u2019 she told us.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I understand her quite deeply. It was fun to play somebody who was so invested, so determined and unflappable. Hawes, who I adored working with on the Amateur is now also in the DCU. So it was really fun to work with him, not only on this film, but also now he’s in the DC family as well.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Aside from spending time on countless film sets, Rachel has teamed up with McCain for the Taste Good.
