Along with an extra boost of power, the Nintendo Switch 2<\/a> comes with a notably higher price tag.<\/p>\n

The price of Nintendo’s next console has been a topic of much speculation<\/a> over recent months, but now the company has finally confirmed the details.<\/p>\n

Nintendo unveiled the Switch 2 in full during a special Direct presentation, including the console’s launch date<\/a> and games line-up.<\/a><\/p>\n

While the price wasn’t actually announced during the presentation, Nintendo has subsequently confirmed it on its store pages, and it’s fairly reasonable in comparison to other consoles. <\/p>\n

What is the Nintendo Switch 2 price in the UK?<\/h2>\n

As confirmed on by Nintendo, the base Nintendo Switch 2 will be priced at \u00a3395.99 in the UK<\/strong> when it launches on June 5, 2025. A Switch 2 bundle with a digital copy of Mario Kart World will cost \u00a3429.99. <\/p>\n

In the US, the base model costs $449.99 and the Mario Kart World bundle is $499.99. As for Europe, this translates to \u20ac469.99 and \u20ac509.99.<\/p>\n

For comparison, the original Switch launched at \u00a3279.99, while the OLED model was released at \u00a3309.99. The PlayStation 5 disc edition and Xbox Series X, meanwhile, are both priced at \u00a3479.99.<\/p>\n

It’s unclear, however, if the final Switch 2 price has been impacted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/02\/04\/trump-tariffs-will-bring-significant-harm-american-gamers-22492213\/\">recent US tariffs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Those who have already won tickets will be able to go hands-on with the Switch 2 early for free at the <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/01\/29\/nintendo-switch-2-experience-tickets-sold-ebay-a-scam-22456252\/\">Nintendo Switch 2 Experience<\/a>.
