Bloodlines broke a huge record months before its release.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/03\/17\/a-00s-tv-star-ruined-final-destination-audition-trashing-iconic-horror-movie-22714920\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">upcoming sequel to the iconic franchise<\/a> will be <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/03\/21\/anticipated-horror-movies-2025-28-years-later-netflixs-frankenstein-2-22766625\/\">released on May 14<\/a>, following a new batch of victims as they attempt to avoid Death\u2019s vengeful ways after a pesky premonition.<\/p>\n<p>A trailer, released earlier this week, gave horror fans a glimpse at the creative and hair-raising deaths they can expect from the latest film, quickly becoming the second most-watched horror trailer of all time.<\/p>\n<p>There was an incredible reaction from fans, with Deadline reporting that it boasted more than than 178million global views in the first 24 hours – behind Stephen King’s It which sits at 200million.<\/p>\n<p>The flick, directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, will serve as <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/11\/09\/candyman-final-destination-star-tony-todd-dies-aged-69-21960298\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tony Todd\u2019s final film following his death last year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/02\/11\/00s-horror-legend-reveals-returning-final-destination-sequel-25-years-22539089\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Devon Sawa confirmed he unwittingly sparking a sequence of events that altered Death\u2019s plan.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Death is coming for us because we were never supposed to exist,\u2019 her family realize, leading to a worrying number of close calls.<\/p>\n<p>We then see ominous close-ups of a shard of glass camouflaged in an ice tray, a child jumping on a dodgy trampoline and a lawnmower mishap that will put you off gardening ever again.<\/p>\n<p>Attempting to offer clarity to the latest group who find themselves fighting for their lives, Todd\u2019s William Bloodworth explains: \u2018Only by embracing death will
