A \u2018hilarious and deeply moving\u2019 female-driven comedy<\/a> is now available to stream <\/a>on Netflix<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Released in 2023, Joy Ride was written by Cherry Chevapravatdumrong and Teresa Hsiao and directed by Adele<\/a> Lim.<\/p>\n

It starred Ashley Park (Emily in Paris<\/a>) as Chinese adoptee Audrey Sullivan who lives with her white parents in Washington, with her childhood best friend, Lolo Chen (Sherry Cola).<\/p>\n

While Audrey is an overachieving lawyer, Lolo struggles to make ends meet with her sex-positive art.<\/p>\n

But when Audrey is flown to China to secure a deal (with Lolo in tow) with a Chinese businessman, he wants to know about her birth family \u2013 who she\u2019s never met \u2013 then leading her to track them down.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s then joined on the journey by not only Lolo, but her cousin Vanessa (Sabrina Wu) and college roommate Kat (Stephani Hsu) however they find themselves facing some crazy situations.<\/p>\n
