It’s criminal this will probably never get a sequel (Ubisoft)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This month\u2019s additions to the PS Plus<\/a> game catalogue include one of the best Metroidvanias in recent years and a trio of retro PS1 games.<\/p>\n

Back when Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown<\/a> was announced in 2023, fans seemed to have a thoroughly negative opinion of it<\/a>. Come its release in January 2024, though, and it\u2019s widely considered to be a fantastic entry in the series.<\/p>\n

In our own review, we deemed it \u2018one of the best Metroidvania games of recent years,\u2019 which is why it\u2019s such a shame it didn’t sell as well as Ubisoft wanted it to. Just a few weeks after its launch, the publisher decided the game did poorly enough to warrant rejecting plans for a sequel and eventually split up the development team<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s unlikely The Lost Crown will ever see a follow-up, PlayStation Plus subscribers will soon no longer have an excuse not to play it as the game is coming to the service\u2019s game catalogue very soon.<\/p>\n

As confirmed via the PlayStation Blog<\/a>, both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of The Lost Crown will be added to the PlayStation Plus game catalogue next week on March 18.<\/p>\n

Unlike the line-up of monthly downloads<\/a>, there\u2019s no time limit for accessing the game catalogue so you can get round to checking out The Lost Crown whenever you have the time.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the game catalogue is only available to those subscribed to the Extra or Premium tiers, providing access to a library of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games at no extra cost.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t seem like The Lost Crown will come with its Mask Of Darkness DLC expansion, so that will still need to be purchased separately from the PlayStation Store. Fortunately, it\u2019s not particularly expensive, only costing \u00a34.29.<\/p>\n
